We are so close I can almost taste it
Hello little goblins, we thought you might want to take a look at this link, this is our ship, filled to the brim (well okay not quite) with labyrinth games. It is scheduled to arrive in the UK on the 2nd of November: 9 days away! After that we do have some customs to sort out and paperwork to fill but we should be able to start posting them around the world soon after. Finally, after each game (and poster!) is sent, you will receive a tracking number by email which you can use to track your order.
The 2nd of November will be the last chance to make changes to your order, so please make sure you have the right address on your pre-order and email info@riverhorse.eu if it needs changing. After this is complete we will also be picking the winner of the jumbo playing piece competition!
We know that you are as excited as we are and we can't wait for you guys to get your chance to explore the Labyrinth - it's only forever, not long at all. |

Inherently dangerous!
Today I thought we would talk about the very start of The Hunt for Red October board game, now running on Indiegogo: the set up. You'll see above the two sides of the 'set up' sheet which determines the starting positions of the NATO and Soviet fleets in both the hunt and war scenarios. The hunt: a game of bluffing and tension starts with the soviet fleet pouring out of port, frantically chasing the Red October who has a head start. In the war both sides are much closer as the NATO forces and the Red fleet are forced together and important tactical decisions need to be made right from the start. NATO must choose whether to fight near its SOSUS net where the large concentration of air bases give them an advantage or to fall back to the mainland and await the Enterprises reinforcement from the south. If either side is too cautious however, the DEFCON tracker will creep up and soon conventional war will be forfeit in favour of nuclear armageddon. |
