Kill Team Theta has been created from the most veteran of the latest Battle Brothers to join the Deathwatch for a series of missions against both the Tau and the Tyranids in the Damocles gulf. Special dispensation has been given to allocate specialist equipment to this particular team in light of the exceptionally dangerous nature of their upcoming trials...
Editors Note - Martin who will be doing most of the GMing decided that every-one could start off with character appropriate equipment from the beginning of the campaign instead of taking it later as 'Signature Wargear' upgrades. Presumably this means we'll be facing enemies from the start against which we'll need it...he also allowed equipment one 'renown' level above that which would normally be allowed (for character generation only) in case you're wondering where those power weapons came from...
The team will initially consist of six members joined occasionally by Inquisitor Nolan when he deems his presence necessary...

Note - Normally a kill-team has at least one player who wants to be a Librarian and another who plays an Apothecary...we had neither when we first started. This means we lack Augury and area effect abilities and formally lacked healing ones. Our GM therefore piled up my Techmarine with a number of bionics, talents and the like which enable me to go some way towards duplicating those abilities in a justifiable manner. The downside to all this extra hardware of course is that I effectively had three bloody jobs to do during the first two sessions...the upside is that I got a lot of useful stuff for free...which I'm not giving back, lol.
