Nothing quite makes your point...like something with a point...
The Mechanical Rider box contains enough parts for one miniature...namely the Mechanical Rider. It also contains stat cards for her though there are no upgrade cards.
Sprues
The box has two sprues in it...well...technically it's one sprue in two halves...as well as the aforementioned cards. Here's pictures of both sides...
Should there be any assembly issues with the model then they will be listed in the appropriate section and you can view larger versions of the smaller pictures by clicking on them. There are currently no instructions so you'll have to make do with the assembled pictures for now.
Stat Card
Front side only I'm afraid...
Assembled
The spear is quite thin and so is the chain attached to it and the reins are of a similar thickness so be careful both when removing these from the sprue and when attaching them to the model. There are a number of ways of approaching assembling this model but for what it's worth I did it like this,,,
First I assembled the horse accept for the reins and this consists of large easy to assemble parts. I then assembled the rider separately except for the spear arm and the arm holding the reins. This meant that I could 'dry-fit' the rider on the horse which in turn enabled me to line up the reins and angle the spear correctly before gluing. The torso section of the rider also needs dry-fitting before assembly as I needed to do a tiny bit of filing to get it to fit flush. Of course you may not have that issue at all.
The shoulder plate (left shoulder) doesn't have an obvious attachment point but can be put on upside-down quite easily...I doubt any-one would notice particularly...but you can...
Here's some close-ups...
Comparison Pictures
Here's a couple of pictures comparing the old metal and new plastic versions.
Cool looking model.
