"It's okay...they're on our side..."
The Sanctioned Spellcasters box contains enough parts for three miniatures...namely the Sanctioned Spellcasters. It also contains stat cards for them though there are no upgrade cards.
Sanctioned Spellcasters - Sprue
The box has one sprue in it split into two pieces (so it actually fits in the box one presumes) as well as the aforementioned cards. Here's pictures of both sides of them as well as close-ups of the sub-sections.
A small arm piece had come loose and had been placed in a small sealed bag but I'm guessing this doesn't apply to every box set...
Sanctioned Spellcasters - Stat Cards
Wyrd Games didn't like my publishing pictures of both sides of the stat cards so you'll have to make do with this...
Should there be any assembly issues with the model then they will be listed in the appropriate section and you can view larger versions of the smaller pictures or instruction pictures by clicking on them.
Sanctioned Spellcasters - Instructions
Some General Notes on Assembly.
Many of these models contain quite small parts so depending on how dexterous you are you might consider getting yourself some tweezers. Dry-fitting is also always a good idea in case a part needs a tiny bit of extra filing or filling as some of the fits are quite tight. Where the parts on the sprue are quite thin (chains, weapon shafts, cables and the like) then it might be better to remove parts with a sharp scalpel rather than cutters.
Sanctioned Spellcasters
Sanctioned Spellcaster 1- Assembled
This model consists of only six parts and one of these is most of the body. The arms are fairly thin but have decent attachment points as does the head. The lower cloak section matches the upper part on the body well but may require a tiny bit of smoothing in the join areas before undercoating so the join doesn't show through.
Sanctioned Spellcaster 2- Assembled
Another six part model though in this case the head is attached and the leg is separate instead. There is an indentation in the cloak section that aligns with the leg. I attached the cloak first and then the leg as this seemed the best way of aligning everything correctly. As with spellcaster one this model may require a tiny bit of smoothing in the join areas before undercoating so the join doesn't show through.
Sanctioned Spellcaster 3- Assembled
Six must be a magic number in Malifaux as this model also consists of only six pieces. In this case the cloak attaches at the top of the back so there's no join issues and the separate head, arms and leg all have more than adequate attachment points.
Sanctioned Spellcasters - Rotating View
As there's no metal version to compare these models to, here's some rotating views of them...
Thoughts and comments are (as usual) most welcome.
