Unboxing Malifaux - Bandersnatch

"It's Behind You....."

The Bandersnatch box contains enough parts for two miniatures that make up a single model...namely the Bandersnatch. It also contains a stat card for it and a single upgrade card.

Bandersnatch - Sprue
The box has two sprues in it as well as the aforementioned cards. Here's pictures of both sides of them and some close-ups of the sub-sections.

Bandersnatch - Stat Card
Wyrd Games didn't like my publishing pictures of both sides of the stat cards so you'll have to make do with this...

Should there be any assembly issues with the model then they will be listed in the appropriate section and you can view larger versions of the smaller pictures or instruction pictures by clicking on them.

Bandersnatch - Instructions

Some General Notes on Assembly.
Many of these models contain quite small parts so depending on how dexterous you are you might consider getting yourself some tweezers. Dry-fitting is also always a good idea in case a part needs a tiny bit of extra filing or filling as some of the fits are quite tight. Where the parts on the sprue are quite thin (chains, weapon shafts, cables and the like) then it might be better to remove parts with a sharp scalpel rather than cutters.

Bandersnatch - Assembled
Bandersnatch Spider - The main body consists of two large easy to assemble parts. The legs have some identifying traits so you don't get them mixed up...two sets have tabs that slot into the upper back section and one of these also has an indentation in it. The legs with the tab but no indentation go at the rear, then the legs without the tab go into the middle, the legs with the tab and the indentation then go near the front and the indentation then aligns with a raised piece on one of the front separate legs. the final legs go alongside it at the front leaving a small 'v' between them into which the head slots.

Bandersnatch Miner - This one is an easy assembly. There are decent location points for the main body parts though it does have a tiny gun holster on the belt and a two- part head/hat.

Bandersnatch - Rotational View
As there's no older version of this model to compare it to here's a rotational view instead.

Thoughts and comments are (as usual) most welcome.

  1. Awesome! Spider is a separate piece! Time to rebase a spare model and have that as a bandersnatch
