Unboxing Malifaux - Alternate Swine-Cursed

"Oink?"

Wyrd Games most months have a promotion of some kind either an extra model free in certain boxes or a free model obtained by sending a copy of a receipt of a certain value off to Wyrd Games. July's promotion was an alternate sculpt of the Swine-Cursed which was available in certain Gremlin Banjonista boxes...therefore there will be no box picture in this feature...as on this occasion it would be a picture of the Banjonista box which might be confusing. Such models invariably appear in future promotions and event sales so if you missed out you may get another chance...hopefully...otherwise I'm just being a tease...

On the off-chance you've arrived at this feature looking for the actual Swine-Cursed then their unboxing feature can be found HERE.

Alternate Swine-Cursed - Sprue
The box has one sprue in it as well as the appropriate card. Here's pictures of both sides of the sprue...

Alternate Swine-Cursed - Stat Card
Wyrd Games didn't like my publishing pictures of both sides of the stat cards so you'll have to make do with this...

Should there be any assembly issues with the model then they will be listed in the appropriate section and you can view larger versions of the smaller pictures or instruction pictures by clicking on them.

Alternate Swine-Cursed - Instructions
No instructions for this particular model so you'll have to make do with my assembled pictures below...

Some General Notes on Assembly
Many of these models contain quite small parts so depending on how dexterous you are you might consider getting yourself some tweezers. Dry-fitting is also always a good idea in case a part needs a tiny bit of extra filing or filling as some of the fits are quite tight. Where the parts on the sprue are quite thin (chains, weapon shafts, cables and the like) then it might be better to remove parts with a sharp scalpel rather than cutters.

Alternate Swine-Cursed - Assembled
The main part of this model is a large body section though this does have a somewhat spindly tail attached. A chest piece aligns with this body which in turn creates the slots for the arms. The legs attach to the rear and there's a slot on the back to which a curved piece goes. This just leaves a raised section on the neck to which both sides of the head need to be glued so they line up with the jaw that's attached to the aforementioned chest piece.

Alternate Swine-Cursed - Group Picture and Rotational View
Here's a picture of the alternate Swine-Cursed with the two original versions as well as a rotational view. Detailed pictures of the original models can be found in their own feature HERE.

The next three monthly promotions are the following should you be interested...

Thoughts and comments are (as usual) most welcome.
Should you ever choose to purchase something based on one of my features or reviews then it would be nice if you could let the company know where the inspiration came from...who knows...they might be grateful to the poor unappreciated blogger who sent you their way...if however I've put you off a product...well...you can keep that info to yourself...
