Unboxing Hasslefree Miniatures - Female Fantasy Miniatures - Part One

Recently Hasslefree Miniatures launched a Kickstarter to turn some artwork by the fantasy artist Matt Dixon into actual miniatures. As expected this combination of a fantastic artist and an amazing sculptor smashed through it's funding target very quickly...
The Kickstarter itself can be found HERE where I believe there may still be a 'Late Pledge' option. Hasslefree Miniatures own site can be found HERE. Hasslefree Miniatures are a company I've purchased many models from over the years and they've always provided excellent service and quality so I expected this to go very well despite being their first Kickstarter and I wasn't disappointed...
I pledged at the 'Bakers Dozen' level which gave me thirteen models to choose. Most of the miniatures produced came in three versions. These were a fully armoured and/or clothed 'Winter' version, a slightly less covered up version in a more fantasy 'Pin-Up' style and a 'Skyclad' version...basically a naked version you could use as an armature to armour, dress or equip as your own modelling skills allowed. I selected the 'Pin-Up' version for the most part as these were closest to the Matt Dixon art and I just liked them. The models were available in both metal and resin but finances prohibited me from paying the extra for resin. The models are of the 30mm Scale but vary slightly in height based on the build of the model in question and of course the pose. They're based on the standard base they came with and a bit of sand...fancier basing will occur if and when they find their way into other of my game systems...

For those of you not familiar with the art of Matt Dixon here's a few examples...his DeviantArt page can be found HERE and he also has a website HERE where his latest projects are showcased.
As I have fourteen miniatures (One may have been a Kickstarter freebie but I'm not sure) and that's a lot of pictures for a single feature I'm going to shamelessly split it into two. Each section will contain the three versions artwork, the unassembled metal miniature and multiple angle pictures of them assembled. So here's the first seven...

Aneira: Arctic Princess, Bambi: Queen of Beasts, Caoimhe: Restless Spirit, Dawn: Stone Age Warrior, Erryn A'Dell: Bard, Frost Shaman Boudi and Glory: Sole Survivor.

Thoughts and comments are (as usual) most welcome.
Should you ever choose to purchase something based on one of my features or reviews then it would be nice if you could let the company know where the inspiration came from...who knows...they might be grateful to the poor unappreciated blogger who sent you their way...if however I've put you off a product...well...you can keep that info to yourself...

  1. I had my eye on these when the kickstarter was live, but funds prevented me from joining in. They look really good, but did we really ever expect any less from HFM?

    1. They are an excellent company imo. Always had great service from them and their models have filled gaps in other companies ranges for me several times.
